The LiPo scenario is changing - HV (high voltage packs) are coming on to the scene and will eventually replace standard LiPo packs. For the time being, Hyperion are producing a range of standard 3.7V per cell LiPo packs for those who remain wedded to the older style - click here to see them.

G7 - Silicon combined with Graphene makes for a superior electrode compared to standard LiPo batteries. Hyperion proprietary Si-Graphene chemistry ensures that your G7 pack will have higher-capacity, lower internal resistance, and higher cycle life than the other-brand LiPo currently on the market.

The G7 combines quality Graphene substrate with a Silicon metalloid to produce a Lithium battery that is uncompromised in performance and reliability. Hyperion’s proprietary Si-Graphene additive has been shown to be less prone to puffing than standard Silicon-only LiPo packs.

These packs come with a balancing plug that is compatible with the Hyperion range of chargers with built-in balancers, but the standard is changing to XH balance plugs (at last common sense prevails and one style of balance plug is being adopted). Also, these packs come with a power plug fitted, but the XT60 plugs have been adopted - fine if you already use these. If you use Deans you can change the plug, or make up a Deans-XT60 adapter to use in your aircraft and for charging.

These packs are smaller and lighter than most, and have more capaicty built in to the same size - for example, the 1400-3S is the same size and weight as previous 1300-3S. They present as a compelling range of LiPo batteries. In the chart below, the number in the cell type column indicates the mAh capacity of the pack. The Series column indicates 2S (7.6V), 3S (11.4V), 4S (15.2V), 5S (19V), 6S (22.8), 7S (26.6V).

Please note - LG325, 335 and 345 packs have been replaced by a smaller range of G5 packs, and the HV packs below are becoming the norm.

Packs are 90C maximum and take a maximum charge of 4.35V per cell
Please note - 90C packs are 45C continous, 90C for 10 seconds

New technology gives longer life and consistent performance - and 10% more capacity!
To gain the maximum capacity, you must charge these packs using HV settings! Some Hyperion chargers can have the firmware upgraded to include HV settings (never charge standard LiPos on these settings), and click here to see some HV chargers available.

You can charge these packs on a standard LiPo setting and they will work, but you will not gain the maximum rated capacity out of them - for example, charge a 1400-3S-HV pack on standard settings and you will only gain 1250-1300 mAh out of that pack.
